Acne Treatment Program.

We're pleased to offer a revolutionary new approach for treating adult and teen acne. Research shows our lasers to be a safe and effective treatment for acne on the face, chest, or back.

Before

After

Laser acne treatments offer a no down-time approach to help clear acne lesions and help reduce the severity of future break-outs. You can return to work or school immediately after treatment. The only side effects, if any, will be slight redness and minor swelling at the treatment site. Laser treatments DO NOT have the side effects, specifically prolonged dryness, severe redness, or mental depression, seen with oral and topical treatments.

How does it work?
Your Northcoast Laser Cosmetic medical professional will analyze your skin condition and help you select the most effective treatment for you.

When will you see results?
Effects are cumulative. The number of lesions and severity of break-outs should reduce over the course of treatment and beyond. Some patients continue to improve two months after their last treatment.

How often can you have it done?
The typical course of treatments is five weeks, two treatments per week. However, your doctor might recommend a different treatment schedule.

What can you expect immediately after treatment?
Immediately following the procedure you may experience some redness and slight swelling. The redness and swelling usually dissipate within one to three days. If necessary, makeup can be applied to the treated area immediately. It is extremely important to apply a moisturizer with SPF 30 sunblock and avoid sun exposure on a daily basis to prevent sun damage.

How long does each visit take?
Each treatment session takes approximately 30 minutes.

Before

After

The Complete Facial is a revolutionary skin treatment that combines the benefits of all three of our "state of the art" lasers to provide you with the ULTIMATE FACIAL, treating your skin inside and out.

What are the benefits of the treatment?
The AuraT Laser first targets redness and skin discolorations. It is ideal for eliminating a variety of problems including: broken capillaries and other minor facial veins, rosacea, age/sun spots (lentigos), freckles, flushing, and other pigmentation variances.

Next, the LyraT Laser is used to stimulate collagen production which helps to diminish fine lines and to help achieve a firmer skin tone.

Finally, the VenusT Laser provides a gentle even skin peel to help smooth fine wrinkles, minimize laugh and frown lines, and other skin abnormalities.

How often can you have it done? A series of 4-6 treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, is our standard recommendation. Occasionally, more treatments may be needed for certain individuals or conditions. Periodic maintenance treatments may be prescribed for optimal, lasting results; we recommend a touch up every six months.

How long does it take and it painful?
The procedure is very tolerable and fast (approx. 30-60 minutes). Prescribed topical anesthetic should be applied 30 minutes before treatment time.

Hair Removal.

Long-term removal of hair from face, under arm, bikini line, etc.

Before

After

Laser treatment for unwanted hair is a non-invasive approach to permanent reduction. Treatment is specifically designed to eliminate undesired hair from all parts of the body. The treatment will safely eliminate hundreds of unwanted hair follicles in seconds. Unlike many other treatment methods, Laser Therapy leaves your skin looking and feeling smoother and softer!

How safe and effective are treatments?
Northcoast Laser Cosmetics uses the most advanced FDA cleared laser technology for long lasting hair removal, safely and effectively treating all ethnic origins and skin types including tanned skin.

How many treatments are needed?
Only 20% or less of your hair may be in the active phase at any one time depending on the body area. Thus a series of treatments will be required to achieve the long-term improvements you desire.

These treatments are spaced approximately 4-12 weeks apart, based on hair growth cycles. Our extensive experience tells us that you can expect to need from 3-8 treatments (4-6 is average) to each area for long lasting results.

Shaving Bumps

Removal of shaving bumps (Pseudo-folliculitis) on neck & bikini-line.

Before

After

Pseudo-folliculitis (PF), commonly known as shaving bumps, is an inflammatory condition, widespread among individuals with thick curly hair. As the hair grows out of the skin, it curls and re-enters the skin. The skin reacts to it as a foreign object and becomes inflamed and irritated, creating bumps and discoloration. Often hairs start curling even before growing out of the skin, creating in-grown hairs. These bumps become quite large, causing discomfort to the patient. These may appear on any commonly shaved area of your body.

How does it work?
Laser light is absorbed by pigment in actively growing hair, damaging the hair follicle and thus, hair re-growth is impeded, reducing and eliminating the bumps caused by ingrown hairs.

This advanced technology allows us to treat all ethnic groups and skin types safely and effectively.

When will you see results?
The average patient sees at least a 75% short-term reduction of shaving bumps within 2 weeks after just 1 or 2 treatments.

Long-term improvement is seen after completing a series of 4-6 treatments.

How often can you have it done?
Only 20% or less of your hair may be in the active growth phase at any one time. Therefore, a series of treatments will be required to achieve the long-term improvement you desire.

These treatments are spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart, based on hair growth cycles.

One or two annual treatments may be required after completing the initial treatment series.

How long does it take?
Sessions to treat the neck or bikini area can take as little as 15 minutes, while a full beard and neck may take 45 minutes.

Skin Rejuvenation.

Commonly used on the face and neck.

Before

After

Skin Rejuvenation is a revolutionary skin treatment using multiple laser wavelengths to eliminate and reduce pigmentation and vascular irregularities while stimulating collagen in the dermis. It is most often preformed on the face and neck, but the chest, hands, arms, and legs can be treated as well.

What are the benefits of this treatment?
This treatment targets redness and skin discolorations. It is ideal for eliminating a variety of problems including: broken capillaries, rosacea, spider veins, age/sun spots (lentigos), freckles, flushing, and other pigmentation variances.

By stimulating collagen, this treatment is also ideal for diminishing fine lines and achieving a firmer skin tone.

When will you see results?
Effects are cumulative. After the first treatment you will see improvements to broken capillaries, small facial veins and some pigmented areas within a few days. Your skin will feel softer and more toned. Other improvements will be more subtle and take 1-3 months. The overall effect will give you a more restful appearance.

How often can you have it done?
A series of 4-6 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, is our standard recommendation. Occasionally, more treatments may be needed for certain individuals or conditions. Periodic maintenance treatments may be prescribed for optimal, lasting results.

How long does it take and is it painful?
The procedure is very tolerable and fast (approx. 30-60 minutes). Prescribed topical anesthetic should be applied 30 minutes before treatment time.

Skin Resurfacing.

Avoids harsh chemical peels using lasers.

Before

After

Forget about harsh chemical peels and dermabrasions which can result in "hot spots" and uneven peeling. Treatment with the VenusT Erbium Laser provides a safer, more precise, and less painful method of restoring smooth, softer, more youthful appearing skin. This laser peel is designed to remove superficial to moderately deep lines and wrinkles on the face. It is also beneficial in treating sebaceous hyperplasia and acne scars. Often referred to as the "Lunch Time Peel", there is no down time. You can return to your normal daily routine with the appearance of slight sunburn.

How safe and effective are treatments?
Northcoast Laser Cosmetics uses the most advanced FDA cleared laser technology for a facial peel. Our Board Certified Physicians have undergone extensive training in all our laser procedures and all have countless hours actually performing them.

What are the benefits?
Fine wrinkles around the eyes, forehead, nose, and mouth can be smoothed. Deep laugh and frown lines can be minimized. Acne scars and other surface abnormalities can be successfully treated with the VenusT Laser.

How does it work?
The VenusT Laser energy is absorbed by water. Because the skin contains approximately 70% water, the laser beam, set to a precise depth, actually vaporizes the top layer of the epidermis revealing the fresh new skin underneath.

When will I see results?
After your treatment, your face will appear and feel like it does with mild sunburn. Within 48-72 hours your skin will gently flake off to reveal the fresh new layer beneath. It is very important that you wear a SPF 30 sunscreen daily to protect the "new" skin.

How long does the treatment take?
The VenusT Laser peel takes approximately 15 minutes.

Does this treatment hurt?
Unlike previous Laser Peel techniques, there is minimal discomfort associated with this treatment. Our patients describe it as a slight rubber band snapping sensation. For added comfort, a topical numbing cream can be applied 30 minutes prior to treatment.

Skin Vein Removal.

Eliminates unsightly leg veins, spider veins, and broken capillaries.

Before

After

Our laser system can quickly and safely eliminate unsightly leg veins, spider veins, and broken capillaries leaving your skin looking smooth and beautiful again.

What are the benefits?
Our advanced technology minimizes the redness and bruising normally associated with traditional treatments. Best of all, our technology allows us to treat people of any ethnic origin and skin type including tanned skin.

How does it work?
The laser energy is delivered through a hand-held device with a cooling tip that protects your skin. The laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in your blood and collapses the unwanted vein.

When will you see results?
The appearance of leg veins will either dramatically fade or completely disappear during the treatment. Some vessels may show temporary swelling that will subside after a few hours to a few days. The redness of the treated vessels will gradually disappear as the healing process occurs. This may take between 2-8 weeks.

How often can you have it done?
Most patients see excellent improvement after just 2 treatments. Everyone responds differently to treatments, with some needing only one treatment and others requiring a third treatment. You can optimize your results by closely following the post treatment instructions. The usual treatment interval is 8 weeks.

How long does it take?
Most treatments will take between 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated. For added comfort, a topical numbing cream can be applied 30 minutes before the treatment time.

Vascular & Pigment Irregularity Therapy.

Treatment for facial veins and port-wine stains.

Before

After

Vascular and Pigment Irregularity Therapy is a revolutionary skin treatment for facial veins and port wine stains, using multiple laser wavelengths to eliminate and reduce pigmentation and vascular irregularities. It is most often preformed on the face and neck, but the chest, hands, arms, and legs can be treated as well.

What are the benefits of this treatment?
This treatment targets redness and skin discolorations. It is very effective in treating port wine stains and facial veins.

How does it work?
Laser light is absorbed by pigmented areas causing a breakup in the pigment. In broken capillaries and minor facial veins, the laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the blood and collapses the unnecessary vein.

When will you see results?
Effects are cumulative. After the first treatment you will see improvements to broken capillaries, small facial veins, and some pigmented areas within a few days. Other improvements will be more subtle and take 1-3 months.

How often can you have it done?
A series of 4-6 treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, is our standard recommendation. Occasionally, more treatments may be needed for certain individuals or conditions. Periodic maintenance treatments may be prescribed for optimal, lasting results.

Are there any side effects?
For facial veins/capillaries, immediately following the procedure you may experience some redness and swelling at the treatment site. Cool compresses help with this and these issues usually resolve within 1-3 days. Make-up can be applied to camouflage any discoloration. For pigmentation treatments the treated area may darken (a good sign that the area has absorbed the laser's energy). This darkened pigmentation may persist and peel lightly for up to one week. Makeup may be applied to the treated area immediately, if necessary. Additionally, hair growth may be impaired in the treated area, although it is not the intended purpose if this particular treatment.

How long does it take and is it painful?
The procedure is very tolerable and fast (approx. 30-60 minutes). Prescribed topical anesthetic should be applied 30 minutes before treatment time.
