Acne Treatment Program.

We're pleased to offer a revolutionary new approach for treating adult and teen acne. Research shows our lasers to be a safe and effective treatment for acne on the face, chest, or back.

Laser acne treatments offer a no down-time approach to help clear acne lesions and help reduce the severity of future break-outs. You can return to work or school immediately after treatment. The only side effects, if any, will be slight redness and minor swelling at the treatment site. Laser treatments DO NOT have the side effects, specifically prolonged dryness, severe redness, or mental depression, seen with oral and topical treatments.

How does it work?
Your Northcoast Laser Cosmetic medical professional will analyze your skin condition and help you select the most effective treatment for you.

When will you see results?
Effects are cumulative. The number of lesions and severity of break-outs should reduce over the course of treatment and beyond. Some patients continue to improve two months after their last treatment.

How often can you have it done?
The typical course of treatments is five weeks, two treatments per week. However, your doctor might recommend a different treatment schedule.

What can you expect immediately after treatment?
Immediately following the procedure you may experience some redness and slight swelling. The redness and swelling usually dissipate within one to three days. If necessary, makeup can be applied to the treated area immediately. It is extremely important to apply a moisturizer with SPF 30 sunblock and avoid sun exposure on a daily basis to prevent sun damage.

How long does each visit take?
Each treatment session takes approximately 30 minutes.

The Complete Facial is a revolutionary skin treatment that combines the benefits of all three of our "state of the art" lasers to provide you with the ULTIMATE FACIAL, treating your skin inside and out.

What are the benefits of the treatment?
The AURA Laser is the first laser used in the session. It is ideal for eliminating a variety of problems including:

• Age Spots/Sun Damage
• Rosacea
• Broken Capilaries
• Freckles
• Pigment Variances
• Flushing

Next, the LYRA is used to diminish fine lines and to help achieve a firmer skin tone. Finally, the Pixel Perfect Laser helps to smooth away fine wrinkles, minimize laugh and frown lines, and reduce other skin texture issues.

How does it work?
Aura - Laser light is absorbed by pigmented areas where it is converted to heat causing a breakup in the pigment

Lyra – During this procedure the laser penetrates your skin, warming the collagen causing it to tighten and restore elasticity, while also stimulating collagen production.

Pixel Perfect – This laser creates thousands of microscopic perforations, but the skin around each of these perforations remains intact. This allows your skin’s top layer to heal from the edges of these tiny holes very rapidly. This treatment exfoliates to smooth fine lines and scarring, helps to blend pigmentation and also stimulates collagen production.

When will results be noticeable?
After treatment, your face may be pink. Within 3-5 days your skin will peel. Your skin will be smoother and softer and your pores may be smaller. Other effects are cumulative. You will see improvements to broken capillaries, small facial veins and some pigmented areas within a few days. Other improvements will be more subtle and take 1-3 months. The overall effects will give you a more restful appearance.

How often are treatments?
A series of 3 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, is our standard recommendation. Occasionally, more treatments may be needed for certain individuals or conditions. One to two maintenance treatments a year are recommended.

Are there any side effects?
Immediately following the procedure you may experience some redness and/or swelling. The redness and swelling should dissipate within 1-3 days. You may experience a slight darkening of pigmented areas that may persist and peel lightly for 1 week to 10 days. Makeup may be applied to the treated area one to two days after treatment if needed. Additionally, hair growth may be impaired in the treated area. It is mandatory to wear SPF30 Broad Spectrum Sun block daily and avoid sun exposure to reduce any potential side effects.

How long does the treatment take and is it painful?
The procedure takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Treatments are very tolerable; our clients describe it like having a rubber band lightly snapping on the skin, or as a hot pinching sensation. For your comfort, we offer a TOPICAL ANESTHETIC that is applied 30-45 minutes prior to your treatment time.

Laser treatment for unwanted hair is a non-invasive approach to permanent reduction. Treatment is specifically designed to eliminate undesired hair from all parts of the body. The treatment will safely eliminate hundreds of unwanted hair follicles in seconds. Unlike many other treatment methods, Laser Therapy leaves your skin looking and feeling smoother and softer!

How safe and effective are treatments?
Northcoast Laser Cosmetics uses the most advanced FDA cleared laser technology for long lasting hair removal, safely and effectively treating all ethnic origins and skin types including tanned skin.

How many treatments are needed?
Only 20% or less of your hair may be in the active phase at any one time depending on the body area. Thus a series of treatments will be required to achieve the long-term improvements you desire.

These treatments are spaced approximately 4-12 weeks apart, based on hair growth cycles. Our extensive experience tells us that you can expect to need from 3-8 treatments (4-6 is average) to each area for long lasting results.

Shaving Bumps

Removal of shaving bumps (Pseudo-folliculitis) on neck & bikini-line.

Pseudo-folliculitis (PF), commonly known as shaving bumps, is an inflammatory condition, widespread among individuals with thick curly hair. As the hair grows out of the skin, it curls and re-enters the skin. The skin reacts to it as a foreign object and becomes inflamed and irritated, creating bumps and discoloration. Often hairs start curling even before growing out of the skin, creating in-grown hairs. These bumps become quite large, causing discomfort to the patient. These may appear on any commonly shaved area of your body.

How does it work?
Laser light is absorbed by pigment in actively growing hair, damaging the hair follicle and thus, hair re-growth is impeded, reducing and eliminating the bumps caused by ingrown hairs.

This advanced technology allows us to treat all ethnic groups and skin types safely and effectively.

When will you see results?
The average patient sees at least a 75% short-term reduction of shaving bumps within 2 weeks after just 1 or 2 treatments.

Long-term improvement is seen after completing a series of 4-6 treatments.

How often can you have it done?
Only 20% or less of your hair may be in the active growth phase at any one time. Therefore, a series of treatments will be required to achieve the long-term improvement you desire.

Northcoast Laser Cosmetics uses the most advanced laser technology for superficial skin resurfacing. Pixel Perfect offers dramatic results, but with fewer risks than Co2 lasers or chemical peels. Plus, it reduces necessary healing time from up to thirty days to usually seven days or less, depending on your starting condition.

How does it work?
Pixel Perfect works by creating thousands of microscopic perforations, but the skin around each of these perforations remains intact. This allows your skin’s top layer to heal from the edge of these tiny holes very rapidly.

When will you see results?
Effects are cumulative. After the first treatment you will see improvements in pigment and skin texture within seven to ten days. Other improvements such as collagen stimulation will be more subtle and may take one to three months. With each subsequent treatment, subtle changes will accumulate until you have achieved the improvement you desire.

How long do results last?
A series of three treatments, spaced two to four weeks apart, is our standard recommendation. Occasionally, more treatments may be needed for certain individuals or conditions. While Pixel Perfect reverses the appearance of aging, we can't stop the aging process. Depending on your starting point and your lifestyle following treatment, your new look can last several months or longer. A maintenance treatment is recommended once every six to twelve months to help ensure lasting improvement.

How does it work?
The laser energy is delivered through a hand-held device with a cooling tip that protects your skin. The laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in your blood and collapses the unwanted vein.

When will you see results?
The appearance of leg veins will either dramatically fade or completely disappear during the treatment. Some vessels may show temporary swelling that will subside after a few hours to a few days. The redness of the treated vessels will gradually disappear as the healing process occurs. This may take between 2-8 weeks.

How often can you have it done?
Most patients see excellent improvement after just 2 treatments. Everyone responds differently to treatments, with some needing only one treatment and others requiring a third treatment. You can optimize your results by closely following the post treatment instructions. The usual treatment interval is 8 weeks.

How long does it take?
Most treatments will take between 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated. For added comfort, a topical numbing cream can be applied 30 minutes before the treatment time.

Laser light is absorbed by pigmented areas causing a breakup in the pigment. In broken capillaries and minor facial veins, the laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the blood and collapses the unnecessary vein.

When will you see results?
Effects are cumulative. After the first treatment you will see improvements to broken capillaries, small facial veins, and some pigmented areas within a few days. Other improvements will be more subtle and take 1-3 months.

How often can you have it done?
A series of 4-6 treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, is our standard recommendation. Occasionally, more treatments may be needed for certain individuals or conditions. Periodic maintenance treatments may be prescribed for optimal, lasting results.

Are there any side effects?
For facial veins/capillaries, immediately following the procedure you may experience some redness and swelling at the treatment site. Cool compresses help with this and these issues usually resolve within 1-3 days. Make-up can be applied to camouflage any discoloration. For pigmentation treatments the treated area may darken (a good sign that the area has absorbed the laser's energy). This darkened pigmentation may persist and peel lightly for up to one week. Makeup may be applied to the treated area immediately, if necessary. Additionally, hair growth may be impaired in the treated area, although it is not the intended purpose if this particular treatment.

The procedure is very tolerable and fast (approx. 30-60 minutes). Prescribed topical anesthetic should be applied 30 minutes before treatment time.
