How does it work?

The light energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair actively growing from the follicle.  This energy is converted to heat causing thermal damage to the areas of the follicles that produce hairs.

How many treatments will I need?

Only 20% or less of your hair may be in the active growing phase at anytime depending on the body area; therefore our experience is that on average 8 treatments are needed to provide clients with up to an 80% reduction in hair growth of the treated area.

Occasionally, depending on the reason for the excessive or unwanted hair, (i.e. hormonal or hereditary) clients may need to go beyond 8 treatments to achieve the desired results.

Will my hair ever grow back?

Although light based hair removal treatments offer a long term reduction in hair growth, maintenance treatments will be required.  We are pleased to offer our clients reduced rates for maintenance treatments after they’ve completed 8 sessions of a treatment site.
